Protected Apartment
S.O.P.S.I. rented an apartment for the housing of two residents from the hostel, who were ready to be accommodated in a less restricted environment. The multidisciplinary, therapeutic team of the hostel is responsible for the supervision of the apartment, which entails the following: 1) smooth adjustment of the two individuals at their new residency 2) balancing and adjusting life in the new circumstances inside and outside of their residency, according to the rhythms and needs of contemporary social reality, 3) participation of the residents in the daily needs of management and care of the apartment and common living, 4) dealing with personal care, 5) free management of personal space and leisure time of the residents of the apartment, 6) encouragement for the development and maintenance of social contacts and relationships with other members of the community, 7) participation in vocational training programs and in various recreational activities within the city, as well as, outside of it, 8) including and working with the families of the residents and maintaining regular communication with them, developing and preserving stable relationships, cooperating with the neighborhood and other community agencies, 9) psychological and psychotherapeutic support, 10) providing help and support to various bureaucratic matters, 11) management of personal financial source and 12) monitoring and encouraging regular medical and dental care.
