This show titled “Permiteme Bailarte” (allow me to dance), is dedicated to the great Spanish dancer Pilar Lopez who has passed away recently. This idea was born from the artistic need to show the great tradition of Spanish dance of “Escuela Bolera” coming today to bring out the influence taken from “goyesco” dawn until the end of 18th century, through wonderful choreographies and costumes inspired by Goya’s paintings.
The show, which got splendid reviews from Spanish media on the premiere at Madrid, start the international tour from Athens and continues to Europe, America and Asia.
In the second part, “Salomi” will be shown, directed by Carlos Saura, by the music of Tomatito-Banos and choreography of Aida Gomez-Jose Antonio. Aida Gomez had the inspiration to bring on stage one of the most well known myths of the Bible, full of passion and tension. The result is a spectacle of special beauty.
Aida Gomez as a gifted dancer performs this demanding role of Salomi perfectly, combining her dancing skills in flamenco with her knowledge in classic dance, always under the special directions of the experienced director Carlos Saura.
